20 HIGH-LEVEL CLEANERS BECOME SAFER AT WORK

Twenty Experienced All Clean Staff attend Working at Height Awareness Training.

All Clean Services Limited, one of the South East’s Leading Independent Window Cleaning Contractors, recently sent twenty of the company’s cleaners on a very successful Working at Height Awareness Day.

The day was run by Andrew Willis, Working at Height Consultant and Senior Partner with the IMPACT43 Group.

Dave Woods, All Clean’s Managing Director, said: ‘As a company we have always taken training very seriously and this was an important day for our window cleaners. It was the first of a set of planned training days that will take place over the next three months.’

All Clean, which is a long-standing family business based in East London, has also registered every one of its cleaners with IMPACT’s City and Guilds NVQ.

Dave was delighted with the organisation and delivery of the training day. ‘When you stand up in front of experienced window cleaners – some with more than 30 years experience – you need to know your stuff,’ he said. ‘Andy Willis is more than experienced and qualified. On the day, he provided some cutting edge information.’

The Working at Height Training Day was such a success; All Clean has decided to complete some new training items, such as IMPACT’s HSE Approved First Aid Training Day, which incorporates suspension rescue techniques and trauma recovery.

‘The next six months is a time to complete new and refresher training,’ said Dave. ‘It was vital that we chose the correct provider, and I have no doubt that, in IMPACT, we have done so.’

‘Every training day is different,’ said Andrew Willis. ‘Sometimes I have to work a little harder to get the message across, but the day with All Clean was a pleasantly straight-forward process. Most of the employees already had an excellent understanding of both statutory law and best practice, and my job isn’t to complicate legislation. I’m there to strip down the regulations and make it a simple process: something the guys can easily understand and put into action on a day to day basis.’
