The 2 main methods of carpet cleaning
1. Dry Cleaning
Not all types of carpet are suitable for traditional wet carpet cleaning due to the risk of shrinkage or seam splitting, so dry cleaning is the best options for these floor coverings.
Most of the deeply embedded dirt in a carpet is dry, so the carpets will be vacuumed with powerful, commercial equipment and individual stains will be spot treated.

2. Hot Water (steam cleaning)
Hot water cleaning doesn’t actually involve steam due to the risk of carpet shrinkage, but uses hot water mixed with specialist cleaning chemicals which are sprayed onto the carpet surface.
The water is immediately vacuumed out of the carpet via a wet vacuum cleaner, removing the dirt that has been loosened by the cleaning chemicals and hot water.
The immediate removal of the water from the carpet helps it dry straight away, but the area will be covered at least twice more to remove any additional water.
After this, the carpet will be left slightly damp and will take 2-3 hours to dry. You will immediately notice how much cleaner and fresher smelling the carpets are.
